Mental and Emotional Illness- It's Real

This topic is something that I have always struggled with in my family and myself. As Christians we tend to pretend that this doesn't exist. Well, the truth is that it is very real.

For the next few months, I am going to be focusing on mental health, grace, and love.

My heart breaks for people who go through things by themselves. No one should have to endure any of that alone. I come from a family where mental Illness has been very present, and I have had to fight every day to push through things that were not that easy.

That is why I call my blog Espresso Grace. I am a living testimony of Gods bold, thick, and always on time Grace. As women, we already have to deal with our regular hormones, and then if you have children it adds on a whole other slew of emotions.

I don't know about you, but anxiety and depression have always lurked around me. Feeling overwhelmed and hopeless, yup I’ve been there, and quite often go back. Ladies, let's talk about life and how real these feelings are. Let’s overcome them together. Let’s fight for our families, our children and ourselves. We matter.

Our Verse for today-

Jonah 2:5-7 The waters closed in over me to take my life; the deep surrounded me; weeds were wrapped about my head at the roots of the mountains. I went down to the land whose bars closed upon me forever; yet you brought up my life from the pit, O Lord my God. When my life was fainting away, I remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple.
